We are The Wall Street Journal's photo editors, a 36-member department that works on every section of WSJ’s print and digital products. We collaborate with reporters, editors, and photojournalists across the globe to tell stories through photos, photo illustration, and design.
Photo editors don’t just pick cool photos for stories. We’re also reporters, fact-checkers, designers, photo-illustrators, coders, tech support, travel planners, invoice processors, and occasionally photographers.
We seek a newsroom that's committed to diversity and equality, fair compensation, and cultivates a healthy work environment. We love The Wall Street Journal and know that joining IAPE, the union that represents many of our colleagues, will ensure the success and longevity of the photo staff.
But despite 89% of our department signing cards in support of our inclusion in IAPE, Journal leadership continues to resist our plea.
