Billy Hennessey - President

Billy Hennessey began his career as a Flight Attendant in 1989 and began getting involved in Union Work in the late 90's. At the time, he worked for American Eagle Airlines and was elected Local Council President for Miami in 2000. A year later, he was elected MEC President. During his time with American Eagle, also an AFA Carrier, he was heavily involved in Contract Negotiations, Picketing Events including C.H.O.S. (Creating Havoc Around Our System). 

Billy has been with Endeavor since 2016 first based in New York, transferring to Atlanta on March 1st, 2020 and since then, he has served as a SAFA Recruiter and a Check Flight Attendant. He was elected LEC President for the newly formed Atlanta Council in February 2023. He's a commuter from Orlando and in his free time, he enjoys spending quality time with friends.

Elizabeth started her career as a Flight Attendant in 2008 with Mesaba Airlines and merged into Pinnacle Airlines which became Endeavor Air.  Initially based in Memphis, she also spent time in DTW and 10 years in LGA, and is currently based in Atlanta. Elizabeth first became involved in AFA work when she was based in Memphis, serving on many committees including Air Safety, Health and Security. She became MEC Chair for ASHS over 10 years ago and was presented an award in 2021 by AFA for her work in Safety. 

Elizabeth has over 25 years of union experience with 14 of those years with AFA. 

Prior to her career as a Flight Attendant she was a Memphis Police Officer.

On July 21, 2023 she was elected to serve as MECVP, she also served as temporary MECP and in 2022 served as MEC Secretary-Treasurer. In February 2023 she was elected by members of Council 49 to serve as LECVP.

Elizabeth currently resides in Orlando and works 2 days a week at Disney World and participates in Disney 5k events and spends days wandering around the parks.

Elizabeth has two daughters, Amanda and Taylor,  who both still reside in Memphis. Elizabeth spends time when she can in Memphis visiting with her family and to watch her Tigers play football.

MEC Scheduling Chair

Laura Walker grew up in Memphis, TN. She gained an Associates in Criminal Justice at a local community college then went on to the University of Tennessee where she obtained her Bachelors in Sociology and a Bachelors in I/O Psychology. She did her internships working with Consulting firms that helped companies build better and more productive work environments. Shortly after graduating she relocated to Jacksonville, FL to open and run a restaurant. Once the Restaurant was up and thriving, she decided it was time to follow her own dreams. She packed everything up in her car and moved back to Memphis, took a job managing a movie theater, and worked on pursuing her dream of becoming a Flight Attendant. In 2010 she became a Flight Attendant based in Memphis. Since then she has been based in MSP, LGA, and for the past 2yrs ATL.

Laura started union work early in her carrier quickly becoming a part of the Scheduling Committee under USW and then an info rep under AFA. She then spent 2 years on the Negotiations committee working on FLICA implementation. When she was NY based she was the LEC info rep for New York.

Currently, Laura is the LEC Secretary for ATL base and the MEC Scheduling Chair.  When she isn't flying or doing union work, she spends her time at home with her Boyfriend, two fun loving teenagers, and a spoiled rotten bulldog.
