Please Take Action!
The National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) is the federal agency in charge of protecting workers’ rights, conducting union elections, and investigating wrongdoing by employers.
The NLRB is governed by a five-person board and a general counsel who are appointed by the President and confirmed by the Senate. We expect President-elect Donald Trump’s appointees to side with CEOs like Elon Musk and make it harder for us to protect our contracts and more difficult for workers to organize to join unions. And he will have an anti-worker majority in the Senate to back him up.
The good news is that you can take action now to ensure a functioning, pro-worker NLRB until at least 2026. The term of the Chair of the NLRB, Lauren McFerran, is expiring on December 16, and the Senate can vote to re-confirm her before Donald Trump takes office.
Send a letter urging Senators to re-confirm Lauren McFerran as Chair of the NLRB immediately.Without her confirmation, we will no longer have a pro-worker majority on the board.
We need a functioning NLRB to protect workers’ rights. Send your message today to urge the Senate to re-confirm Lauren McFerran.
In unity,
Dan Mauer
