Only 7 of 25 Union Dues Authorization Cards Received So Far
March 3rd, 2021
Dear Brothers and Sisters,
On January 20th, 2021 the locals Secretary/Treasurer, Michelle Ramirez, had mailed out Union Dues Authorization Cards to the last known home address to each union member, and I as President also posted a news article on our website and encouraged all of our members to fill them out and send them in. Again, on February 10th, 2021 Michelle did another mailing and another article was posted to our website about filling out and returning your Union Dues Authorization Cards.
Since January 20th, 2021 only seven Union Dues Authorization Cards have been received by our Secretary/Treasurer, Michelle Ramirez, at this time. We have approximately 25 members and only seven members have mailed in their Union Dues Authorization Cards so far. Because of such a low percentage of our members have filled out and returned their Union Dues Authorization Cards the local is getting pressure from the National’s Secretary/Treasurers Office to get to 100% of the Union Dues Authorization Cards returned to Michelle as soon as possible. If we do not get the remaining members to fill out and return their Union Dues Authorization Cards soon, CWA District 7 will start intervening at getting these returned by the members that have not done so yet.
I highly encourage all the members that have not yet sent in their Union Dues Authorization Cards to do so immediately. Attached is a link to the Union Operating Procedures Manual (UOPM) https://cwa-union.org/uopm Part XVII outlines the Local's and Member's responsibility under Union Security/Agency Shop language.
I have also attached a pdf copy of the Union Dues Authorization Card to this news article. If you have not done so yet please print, fill out and return to CWA Local 7590 Michelle Ramirez 20035 Briarwood Ct. Parker, Co. 80138 immediately.
In Unity,
R.K. Ferdinandsen
President
