Nokia trying to get us to train our replacements?
February 13, 2019
Brothers and Sisters,
The local is getting reports of the company trying to get union members to train 3P, delivery drivers, tower companies and our customers themselves how to do installers jobs.
We as union members do not have any contractual obligations to train 3P, delivery drivers, tower companies and our customers themselves how to do installation type work. We can train other union members represented by Installation Contract CWA-25. But we do not have to train any 3P, delivery drivers, tower companies and our customers themselves.
In fact if the company asks any union member to train 3P, delivery drivers, tower companies and our customers they are creating a "Hostile Work Environment" and a grievance can be filed by that member for creating this work environment. Please also contact your Area Vice President if this should occur.
In Unity,
R.K. Ferdinandsen
President
