Nokia Bargaining Report #62

Dear Brothers and Sisters,

The Bargaining Team and CWA Research Economists met with the Company and their financial representatives to discuss key financial information that was requested by the CWA Research Economists as part of the NLRB Settlement. We continue to seek information and clarification that is critical in crafting proposals that we believe will meet the company's needs for cost, flexibility and agility and the Union’s goal of protecting the bargaining unit. Once the data is received, reviewed and clarified we will re-engage in contract negotiations. We are scheduled to meet again tomorrow to discuss Nokia’s recent decision “to subcontract Nokia’s deployed services to SAC Wireless.”

As always, we are asking that you gear up our mobilization activities around the country. It is still critically important that we have the support of both our active members as well as our retirees.
