Nokia Bargaining Report #57
Dear Brothers and Sisters,
As previously reported the Company and Union Bargaining Teams are not scheduled to meet until the Union receives the information the Company has been withholding and has time to review it. Per the Settlement Agreement reached earlier this month Nokia has until May 31st to provide the information. Once CWA has had time to review the requested information Nokia is required to meet with the Bargaining Team and CWA’s research economist so that we can perform our own cost analysis. This will take some time but as we have said it will go a long way in helping us to craft proposals that will help us achieve a collective bargaining agreement that provides job and retirement security.
As we gear up for our mobilization activities around the country it is critical that we have the support of both our active members as well as our retirees. If you are an active employee please reach out to your local, if you haven’t already, to ensure they have your contact information. If you are a retiree (or you know a retiree) please make sure you register with the CWA at www.cwa-union.org/nokiainfo so you can join us in our fight!
One Day Longer. One Day Stronger. An Injury To One, Is An Injury To All. United We Stand.
Your Bargaining Team,
Mary Jo Reilly
