NOKIA BARGAINING REPORT #35

October 11, 2018

Dear Brothers and Sisters,

Today the Company and your Bargaining Team met. The Company responded to a great deal of our data requests around subcontracting. Due to the complexity of the data, the Bargaining Team will be spending the next several days combing through it. Aside from this data we still have additional outstanding data requests that will hopefully provide us with the information necessary to put together comprehensive cost savings and flexibility proposals. As we have said before this is critical for a successful agreement that addresses the needs of the Company and protects our Installers and Retirees.

We presented the Company with two photographs to help articulate why we believe the hybrid delivery model is still the right way to go. The first photo was of work performed by a 3P which showed a total lack of professionalism with no care for the customer or the outcome of the job. The second photo was work completed by a core Installer that demonstrates what having an experienced, trained, professional Installer provides. A picture is worth a thousand words. Unfortunately the Company still believes that a low cost 3P model is the way of the future. Right first time, safe every time is apparently just a marketing slogan. The real proof is in the work.

Please check out and join Nokia’s Yammer Field Forces conversation. Remember if you encounter quality issues with 3P contractors or you are sent to clean up their mess, please send the information to the bargaining team:  cwalocal1090@yahoo.com.
