2018 Bargaining and Mobilization, Mobilization Activity 1
Dear Union Member
As Steve sits down on Monday June 4th to the bargaining table, we want him to do so knowing we stand united to get a beneficial contract. A contract that is good for the company and good for all of us as well. Please be prepared to stand in solidarity with all the union actions that we lay out in future communications. We have good benefits and fair wages due to the blood, sweat, and tears of the retirees that fought diligently throughout the years. They created a union that now continues to support us, work with and for us, the members. It was achieved through the same solidarity that we ask you to give us today.
Please copy and paste the letter written below and e-mail it to Steve Muscat at Steve.muscat@nokia.com
We want to remind Steve as he enters negotiations that we are fighting for; Our Livelihoods, Our Families and Our Futures…
In Solidarity,

LETTER TO STEVE MUSCAT:
MEMO LINE: We Support the CWA during negotiations with Nokia on our behalf.
Dear Steve Muscat,
On behalf of our bargaining unit, all of its members and families that are part of the CWA (Communication Workers of America) and myself, I want to show my full support and complete solidarity for the CWA bargaining team as you enter negotiations with them on behalf of Nokia. We encourage you to strive to achieve a fair and mutually beneficial contract.
The CWA members give all of their efforts every day to provide quality work that the company and the customers, can be proud to be a part of. Our skills and experience are critical for ensuring quality work is completed for Nokia and its customers. We the workers value our health care, workplace safety, fair compensation, and job protection. Our union of installers stand firmly behind the commitment and sacrifice the union bargaining team makes as they represent us at the bargaining table.
As a representative for Nokia, we implore you to negotiate in good faith and to bargain to keep our workforce in place, our union strongly intact, and our families healthcare and livelihood intact. We call on you to let us do the jobs we were hired to do and to keep our current workers jobs and retirees healthcare secure; which are the same workers who have created massive profits for the company over many years.
Our CWA union stands strong with unwavering support so we can be. “One Day Longer, One Day Stronger!”
In Solidarity,
