Appoinment of new Secretary/Treasurer for the local

Dear Union Members,

Last Tuesday August 6th 2019, the local mailed letters of notification ot the Appointment of Michelle Ramirez to the office of Secretary/Treasurer to the last known home address of each union member.  This notification was done in accordance with our By-Laws and reads as follows;

"Tuesday August 6, 2019

Dear Union Member,

I am witting this letter to hereby officially inform the membership per our Local’s By-Laws Article 11 Section 3, that the E-Board appointed Michelle Ramirez to the office of Secretary/Treasurer for Local 7590 on Friday August 2nd, 2019.  Michelle is an active Nokia employee as well as an “active dues” paying member that is in good standing with Local 7590.   If any member opposes this appointment or an interest in running for the offices of Secretary/Treasurer must do so in writing by Monday September 1st, 2019.  If any members oppose the appointment or interest for running for the office of Secretary/Treasurer and election shall be held within 60 days of the appointment. Letters of opposition or interest in running for the office can be mailed to the following address;

I would also like to inform the membership that this appointment was made by the E-Board because our former Secretary/Treasurer, Brad Johnson, for personal reasons decided to take the ESVTP when the surplus was declared by the company for Denver and Salt Lake City last March of 2019. At the time of his decision Brad agreed to remain an “active dues” paying member in good standing with the local after his off-role date. Brad agreed to do this for as long as possible. However, the time has come that Brad needs to move on with his new career in the Aero Space industry.  Brad was our Secretary/Treasurer when the Local 7590 was first chartered in 2010, Local 7590 was chartered when Locals 2390, 7790, 7791, and 9590 merged into one local by a majority vote of the membership.  Prior to being Local 7590’s Secretary/Treasurer Brad was also the Secretary/Treasurer for Local 7790.  On behalf of the membership for the local I would like to thank Brad for all his years of service, hard work, and dedication to us the membership. "
