BARGAINING REPORT #20
The Company and your Bargaining Team met today. The Company passed additional data request responses regarding 5G training, contractor training costs and Installation and 3P service outage protocols.
The Company also presented Nokia’s Q2 2018 and Half Year Earnings Report. Sales and Profits are down and it’s the reason they need to go to the 3P model that is used in other countries. The Union pointed out that the sales and profits are also down in those other countries and they have lost money as well!
In the midst of them proposing to eliminate the Bargaining Unit, because we are too expensive, they are making another request to have Core Installers go to Denmark to “work on another trouble deployment”. Apparently “the customer has expressed concerns that our current crews seem under trained on our hardware and, as a result, Network Quality has taken a big hit.” So much for the success of the 3P model! We are not going to allow them to dissolve this Bargaining Unit because they are inept at running the business.
The Union also passed our weekly quality report. Sadly, we had to tell the Company of a 3P employee who suffered 3rd degree burns on his hands from using an uninsulated tool on a battery string. Remember, if you encounter quality issues with 3P contractors or are sent to clean up their mess please send the information to the bargaining team: cwalocal1090@yahoo.com.
