BARGAINING REPORT #14
Dear Brothers and Sisters,
The Company and your Bargaining Team met again today. The Company’s Senior Director of Benefits met with us to discuss the active healthcare plan and several cost models requested by the Union. We will be evaluating these changes and associated cost savings to present to the Company in the context of an overall package once we receive all of the data from the Company necessary to move forward.
Once again the Union presented some quality issues and expressed deep concern over the safety of the 3P who cut a live cable and caused an 11 hour outage for our customers. These issues are a clear example of why it is in the best interest of the Company and their customers to have a core Installation field force that can do quality work, better and safer than the 3P. Remember, if you encounter quality issues with 3P contractors or are sent to clean up their mess, please send the information to the bargaining team: cwalocal1090@yahoo.com.
We will be working over the weekend and will resume bargaining on Monday.
