Members on Unfair Labor Practice Strike in Akron/Canton

The state of Indiana and several locals in Michigan, Illinois, Wisconsin, and Ohio, including Local 4302, are on member lead strikes over unfair labor practices. Members walked off the job around 9:00AM today. At the heart of the matter is a series of emails sent to members of the bargaining unit detailing a “final offer” from AT$T to its employees.  CWA members felt that this was a way for AT$T to circumvent the bargaining process by obscuring the less savory details of a complex offer and to coerce members to force the hand of their exclusive bargaining representatives.
