Productive talks continued at the bargaining table. We have reached initial tentative agreements on several non-economic issues and are preparing to move into economic issues.
Our next meeting is scheduled for August 20, 2021

SBU Bargaining Report 7/23/21

The University and our bargaining team are making progress reaching many tentative agreements on some core articles which are the cornerstone of our contract. Economics have not been discussed at the table to date. Our bargaining team is working towards those discussions.

The next meeting will be Thursday July 29th.

The bargaining team for the SBU met Wednesday June 30th. Minor changes were discussed on several articles. Due to the Fourth of July holiday and scheduled vacations, we will not meet again until July 16th. Discussions were professional and productive.

The bargaining team appreciates your support and unity.

The bargaining teams for the Trades group and Staff Bargaining unit met with the University to open contract negotiations on Monday (June 21st). Both sides came to an agreement to extend the current contracts and the MOU’s until the new contract agreements are reached. Our meeting today begins the bargaining process.

The next scheduled bargaining sessions will be held on June 30th. You should be able to check the CWA web page a few days after the meeting for an update.

The bargaining team would like to thank everyone for their support and solidarity.

Please see the attached notice.  Congratulations and good luck to our Scholarship winners!
