Vyve Broadband (Northland Cable) Bargaining Update!

Hello Brothers and Sisters,

We are happy to report that we have reached a tentative agreement with Vyve Broadband. Final details will need to be made so we are hoping to wrap up within the week so we can get the tentative agreement to you to vote on! The company was understanding of our proposal and after discussions both on and off camera, met us on our most important issues. Improvements made in this tentative agreement are:

• A three year agreement
• Wage increases over the three years
• Increase in tech boot allowance
• Additional vacation days
• A more clear procedure on SCTE certifications and member incentives for completion
• Contract language for regular safety discussions with the company

The tentative agreement will be emailed to all members for voting once the company and local clarify small final details in wording. We are expecting to wrap this up by the end of this week to early of next week. Please, to those who have not provided a personal email address (not a work email address), let Marion or myself know so we can get the tentative agreement to you so you can vote. Also, in order to vote, you must provide to us a personal email address as we cannot send to your work email. 

We know you will have questions about the details of this tentative agreement and we are discussing the best way to address this either in person or over the phone. We will let you know in the coming days.

I want to thank the Moses Lake team for your time discussing the needed improvements, and to the bargaining committee for giving their time to discuss these subjects with the company. Your CWA Officers are pleased with this tentative agreement and have already discussed what we want to see in the next contract.
