Hands Off Rally 4/5/25 @ 3P-5P

Hello Sisters and Brothers,

We hope you will join us in our fight against the attacks on our rights, benefits, diversity, labor, and so much more. Now, more than ever, it is important we take a stand to STOP this oligarchy from pushing us down. We will be meeting at BA CLARK PARK (NE corner of the park) to rally and show solidarity for each other April 5th at 3P-5P. Your officers will be in attendance with signage, but feel free to make any signs with messages to support our fight against the injustices we currently face. We hope to see you all there. Please see below information sent out by the Spokane Regional Labor Council.

___________________________________________________________

You may have seen or heard about the Indivisible, Women's March, 50501, MoveOn, LWV,  and Veterans For Peace mass mobilization on April 5th. All those national orgs are seeking to get folks out to be seen.

Spokane is NOT to be denied, and we have been planning for the event, you may have seen some of this art on SM.

We would like to invite your organization to participate! There is no power in the park, and the restrooms aren't open either. Our plan is to ask you to bring a 1) portable table, 2) a clip board and 3) a BULLHORN for your organization. Your swag is welcome, just keep in mind that we don't want to have any litter left in the park! Chairs are welcome! We're hopeful a large crowd will gather, so carpooling and mass transit are encouraged.

We hope you'll set up:

2:15      leader check in at Shelter house on North side of park. Get Location of where to put table in park.

2:30      your Tables, clip boards and BULLHORN get set up, Sign in on the Clip boards ( we'll give you the sign in logs, put your organization name on the top, so we can thank you and send the potential volunteer info to you)

2:45      Review the INFO script, handed out at 2:15 in the Shelter House, with the map of tables, red dots, flags and sign in sheets.
Ask Folks if they want 2 red dots to let photographers know not to take pix of them. One goes on front and one on back, up high. Let them know when the siren blasts they can go to the shelter house to avoid the "class photo"

3PM    or earlier if needed  Read Script. Via BULLHORN Then ask for people to come use the Bullhorn to say "What should DOGE keep their HANDS OFF for you?" Why are you here?

3:45     A double siren blast from our bullhorn will be the signal. PHOTO Vulnerable people can make their way to the shelter house. All others Turn to the South West corner for a CLASS PHOTO.

3:50       Practice Chants! Still facing the SW.

4:00       Turn to the east. Walk gently to the Sidewalks , cross at Garland and Division only, Keep Signs Facing the oncoming traffic, Not to the center, space yourself out to get your signs seen. Always let walking people have space to pass, Obey pedestrian and traffic Laws and remember that Drivers often think of Division as a freeway! Be careful out there!  Be aware that the walk will be crossing streets and we must allow the traffic to pass.

Not all people will be going to the Sidewalk, so Let them keep telling their story on your bullhorn.

5:00 Please Take your table, swag, Clip board and Bull horn out of the park. Take a picture of your sign in sheets, Courtney will collect them and we will scan then in so everyone will have contact info for knowing who might volunteer to help your organization! It will honestly take about a week before we can get all them input for you, but you can always contact us at bugsmind@comcast.net, 509-879-4752 (please text!).

No permit is needed, no power is being used for Volume, we are on Public land, public sidewalks, engaged in public protests for emergent issues. We will have a Police presence and PJALS has committed to being there, Hoping for PJAMMERS to lead folks to the side walks.

WHEN WE FIGHT, WE WIN!!

In Solidarity,

President
