• Work to the Rule by insisting on all notifications in our contract. Grievances for each improper notification.
• Work to rule by examining the vehicle for safety every day and reporting and writing up all safety issues at work locations. If the company refuses to correct safety issue, report them to OSHA.
• Working to rule by insisting on help when a job requires more than one installer.
• No out of hours communications via phone or computer. Next day assignments are to be received by end of the shift.
• Demand a copy of your Istar time ticket each week.
• Review your 1421 with your supervisor. CWA-25 Art 12, 3, (a) (1) “For any ACST with fifteen (15) or more years of Installation Service or any CST with twenty (20) years or more of Installation Service who is not recommended for reassignment to a higher approved job title, a developmental plan will be established by the Board.”
• Request and review your personnel file.
• Demand all PPE required to do your job safely, including prescription safety glasses, hand cleaner and bee spray for cell sites.
• Follow Ask Yourself principles, especially regarding MOP’s and training. Have you been trained to perform the job function you are doing? Do you have a copy of the MOP on site? Remember, installers have been disciplined and fired for not following MOP’s.
