HOME SCHOOLING
School closures were critical for keeping our communities safe and slowing the spread of coronavirus, but for families with school-age kids, learning how to support students’ distance learning can be difficult. That’s why the American Federation of Teachers (AFT) has developed materials to provide working families with helpful lessons and tools for kids in pre-K through 12th grade who are now learning at home while coping with the COVID-19 pandemic.

PROTECT THE POSTAL SERVICE
During this pandemic, we’re depending on the Postal Service for everything from medicine and essential goods to absentee ballots. The USPS has always been our emergency distribution system when our country is in crisis.
Unfortunately, this reliable system is now under threat. The coronavirus shutdown is plummeting USPS revenues while increasing costs. The Postal Service could run out of money as early as June and the Trump administration is trying to undermine its stability and effectiveness so private companies can profit. The loss of the USPS would shatter our response to the coronavirus pandemic, hit already weakened businesses and harm communities.
