CWA/AT&T Midwest Bargaining Report #72

The Union committee continued work this morning internally on benefits related issues and leave policies.

The Union benefits subcommittee had lengthy discussions with the Company about the AT&T Retirement Savings Plan (401k) and parental leave policy. The Company clarified parts of their proposals and took the remaining Union questions to research and communicate additional answers.

This evening we are continuing work on a benefits proposal to protect our current plan design and structure at an affordable cost. The committee is also crafting a monitoring counter proposal in answer to the Company’s last propositions.

Lastly, our thoughts go out to the CWA Local 4818 member who was injured in Martinsville, IN by an AT$T manager while fighting for his future on a picket line with his brothers and sisters, standing for what is right and just.
