FLOOD DISASTER STRIKES CWA/AT&T FAMILY MEMBERS
Two members of our CWA/AT&T family have been stricken by disaster again. Debbie (Electronic Technician, Voicemail) and Thad Sisco (Electronic Technician, Nashville Airport Central Office) lost all their possessions in the Nashville Flood. As many of you remember, they lost everything in a house-fire last February. They had only been back in their Bellevue area home a few weeks when it was flooded to the roof on May 2.

CWA-BST Contract - What AT&T Wanted
March 19, 2010
At the District 3 meeting in Jacksonville, Florida, there was a lot of discussion on what we gained from this contract. Everyone knows what was gained and lost. However, there were also a number of things that the company wanted and your Bargaining Team fought against successfully. To see what your Bargaining successfully fought off, click here.
Contract Implementation Dates
March 15, 2010 With the ratification of the new contract, there are implementation dates for the various changes. Two of particular interest are check stubs and moving the day we get paid. The target to no longer mail out check stubs is 4/30/2010 and 5/7/2010, depending which pay cycle (plant or clerical) you are under. Moving from a Thursday payday to Friday is to take effect 7/1/2010. We have been notified that the arbitration case on the AT&T Mobility scheduling tool process has been approved. Local 3808 Monthly Drawings
August, 2010 Local 3808 has two drawings each month. There are three $25 door prizes draw from the names of those members present. Congratulations go to our June winners, Billie Loftis, Darlene Pugh and Beverly Hicks. In the General Membership Drawing, had James E. Denney of Nashville, TN been present, he would have won $400. Next month, the prize will increase to $450. In November, 2007, the Local began a monthly drawing from the entire membership. The prize started with $100, and increased $50 per month until we had a winner. In July, 2008, Cleo Duckworth won the drawing and received $500. In December, 2009, we had our 2nd winner, Walter T. Lavender of Kingston Springs. He won $900. Remember, the only way you can win is to be present for the monthly meeting at the United Steelworkers Building at 3340 Perimeter Hill Drive, September 14th at 7:00 PM. See you next month!

Basically, not very pleasing to the eye and not useful. This has occured when trying to access the website from Company computers. Accessing from other locations has been ok. The IT Committee thinks this is due to some conflict between our site and the Company's internet security settings. The IT Committees expresses it's regret that you are having this problem and they are investigating possible solutions. For the time being, please access us from non-Company sources, i.e.- home computer, iPhones, laptops with personal wifi connections. Thank you for your understanding. The IT Committee
