Dear Brothers and Sisters,
We at the office of IUE-CWA Local 123 would like to take this opportunity during our busy holiday season to acknowledge any members or members families that are in our ranks, who are active or retired military personnel. We tend to get so occupied in the hustle and bustle of the season and we forget that here and overseas there are military personnel who are away from home, keeping our freedom and our borders safe.

We would like to acknowledge the sacrifice of both past and present members of the military, by sending out a mass email listing of names as well as a place of honor in a special section of our website. No addresses will be used in our postings. We would like the name of the past or present military personnel, your association to the personnel if you are family of the personnel, what branch of service and what unit or ship they served on, and which of our IUE 123 plants you are from. We would especially like to acknowledge any IUE 123 members that are currently serving or have recently served!

Another part of our Military recognition program will be, for any military families who are willing, for us to have available the addresses or email addresses of any of your loved ones who you think would enjoy receiving letters, emails, or packages from our local or from some of our members as a way to say thank you for your service and your sacrifice. Any names and addresses of military personnel would be kept on record by the local and would not be available to anyone who is not looking to encourage and say thanks to your military loved ones.

Please don’t be shy. We would like to know who you are or who your loved ones are so that we can acknowledge them as they should be! Email us or mail us any information that you would like to share with your Union Local about you or your loved ones. Feel free to add a uniformed picture as well, and we will post that on our website as well!

Again we at your Union local would like to say thank you if you have served our country past or present. We understand that our freedom and safety comes at a price.
In Solidarity,

Please take the time to recognize our military and the hard work they do. A small gesture goes a long way to a soldier or sailor who spends most of their time far from home, sometimes not even able to communicate with loved ones at all.
